Kings of Leon
Few bands have seen a rise as meteoric as Kings of Leon. When they released their first album Youth and Young Manhood in 2003, they were relative unknowns; just four long-haired rockers with a penchant for excess. Fast forward to 2014 and the Followills (brothers Caleb, Nathan & Jared and cousin Matthew) are one of the biggest bands on the planet.
Following their debut album, they returned with the equally impressive Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because of the Times before being skyrocketed to success with 1008’s Only by the Night. In September 2013, Kings of Leon released their sixth studio album, entitled Mechanical Bull, and are heading back to the UK this year for a number of arena shows, plus a massive show at Milton Keynes Bowl with support from the magnificent Haim.
Their sound may have changed over the years but their ability to thrill an audience certainly hasn’t, delivering a knock-out live performance every time they grace the stage. They’re definitely one of the best live acts out there at the moment, so if you’ve never seen them live before, this is your chance!
Kings of Leon concert tickets are on sale now at Gigantic, and if past experience is anything to go by, then they won’t be around for long. Check out all the Kings of Leon tour dates below and book your place at one of the most anticipated tours of the year.
KINGS OF LEON ANNOUNCE 2014 ARENA SHOWS
Following the announcement of their massive outdoor show at Milton Keynes Bowl next summer, Kings Of Leon have added additional arena shows in Sheffield and Manchester for June 2014.
Earlier this year Kings of Leon released their Grammy nominated No.1 album ‘Mechanical Bull’ and have also announced that they will be headlining Germany’s biggest festivals Rock AM Ring & Rock IM Park as part of a summer 2014 European tour.
2013 saw Kings of Leon headline V Festival in August as part of a 23 date European tour.
Kings of Leon tickets go on-sale Friday 13th December at 9am.

Their first EP, Holy Roller Novocaine, was released in February 2003. It gave them a sizeable amount of exposure before the release of their debut album, with Rolling Stone magazine awarding it four out of five stars. Four of the songs contained on the EP later appeared on Youth and Young Manhood, their debut album, which came out later that year. The album was an instant hit in the UK and received a warm critical reception.
Their second album, Aha Shake Heartbreak, was released in October 2004 and contained the singles The Bucket, Four Kicks and King of the Rodeo. They started receiving more and more airplay on popular radio stations and music channels and Kings of Leon tickets started selling in their droves.
Their third album, Because of the Times, was released in April 2007. The single On Call went to number one in the UK and Ireland, and other anthemic, sing-along singles Fans and Charmer also did very well commercially, heightening interest and demand for Kings of Leon tickets.
Only By the Night was released in September 2008 and shot straight to the top of the album chart. The infamous Sex on Fire single saturated the airwaves, and it became their most successful song to date, reaching number one and bagging them a Grammy Award. They received two BRITs at the 2009 ceremony, for Best International Band and Best International Album. Kings of Leon tickets were selling in unprecedented volumes for their tours and footage from their gig at the O2 Arena became their first live DVD. Over 18,000 Kings of Leon tickets sold for this gig.
In January 2010 they won three Grammys for Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song for Use Somebody.
Their latest album, Come Around Sundown, was released in October 2010 and is supported by a Kings of Leon world tour. The album, perhaps unsurprisingly, debuted at number one in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and the UK. Kings of Leon are one of the biggest bands in the world right now, so don’t miss your chance to see them live.
