THE WELSH JOHN MOUSE
Announces new material and UK live dates for 2026
Following a run of high-profile support slots with Goldie Lookin Chain, Young Knives and Thousand Yard Stare, The Welsh John MOuse returns with a new phase of releases and a run of UK headline shows.
Blending synth-driven new wave with sharp observational storytelling, The Welsh John MOuse has built a reputation for unpredictable, high-energy live performances — moving between humour, melancholy and something altogether more surreal.
The forthcoming material, produced by Sweet Baboo, continues the sonic shift heard on Back to the Clubhouse, leaning further into cinematic textures, motorik rhythms and off-kilter pop structures. New work is expected throughout 2026, with collaborations including Gruff Rhys and Miki Berenyi.
Live, The Welsh John MOuse operates as a solo performer — combining synth, backing tracks and a commanding stage presence that has seen him play to audiences ranging from intimate 100-cap rooms to major festival stages including Green Man.
With consistent support from BBC Radio 6 Music across multiple releases, this next run of shows marks a step up — both sonically and visually — with a newly developed visual identity rooted in a distinctly Welsh, brutalist aesthetic.
